Flexible Learning Day Activities for K-3 Title I Students

 2024-2025

Dear families,

        K-3 Title students are provided with an extra practice activity for reading, math, or both, depending on their needs. This activity comes home in Friday folders with a note attached from me. On flexible learning days, students are asked to complete this activity. They will receive something new after it is used. 

Parents: Please check back on this web page or on the parent email account you provided on your child's Title I permission slip for more information if there are two or more consecutive flexible learning days. 

        Students should return to school with any work they do at home and turn it into their classroom teachers, who will share their work with me. If an activity has small pieces, please keep the pieces instead of returning them. In this case, returning the note with the parent signature spot signed is enough.
 

 Activities for Thursday, March 20th: 

Can't print? Here are some options. 

Reading:

• Step 1: Pick any book from your book bag or from home.
• Step 2: Read.
• Step 3: Rate it. Give it 1 star if you didn't like it. 2 stars if you liked it. 3 stars if you loved it. Tell an adult why you gave it that rating or write down your rating on any piece of paper and bring it to me at school. 

• Go to https://ascendmath.com/fcm/html5/
• Type: A for your name. 
• First and second graders: practice addition or subtraction for 10 minutes. 
• Third graders: practice multiplication or division for 10 minutes.

• Math: No paper. 

1. Find 16 objects (blocks, pieces of cereal, etc.) 
2. Count them forward. 
3. Count them backward. 
4. Clean them up.

• Math: Subtraction Story Problem (no regrouping) 

• Reading: Word Building: letters a, e, i, g, n, r, r, s
• Math: Subtraction Story Problem (with regrouping)
